Aquilaria nursery with thousands of seedlings that will provide cultivated agarwood for the future
Cultivated agarwood incense is hand made by rural people in Vietnam and the cones and sticks are packaged in wooden boxes partially made from the harvested Aquilaria trees that do not contain resin. The aroma of agarwood is subtle and has no strong perfume-like smell. Its fragrance is best appreciated a few minutes after burning when the smoke dissipates and the ancient aroma of agarwood lingers. Incense cones are great for use in large areas or outside on a patio or porch. Incense sticks produce very little smoke and have exceptional aroma.
For the connoisseur, cultivated agarwood chips are available. These chips are resin filled pieces of wood removed directly from the tree and cut into thin segments. Chips can be placed on lighted charcoal in a sensor or used in the Japanese style of incense burning (koh-doh ceremony). They can also be lighted with a match or candle. Just light and blow out the flame a few times to generate sufficient aroma. The fine aromatic compounds will be released when the agarwood is burned and the fragrance will linger for meditation, relaxation and your enjoyment. Two types are available, premium dark agarwood chips or lighter less resinous agarwood chips.
